Motorola's ARC 4000 Master Site Offers the Complete Functionality of the ASTRO 25 Trunked System in a Compact, Versatile Design
The ARC 4000 master site offers the complete functionality of the ASTRO 25 trunked system in a compact, versatile design, which makes efficient use of expensive site space. Working together, the Astro 25 trunking systems and the ARC 4000 have the ability to support up to 12 Integrated Voice and Data (IV&D) repeater sites, 120 channels, five dispatch sites and 10 console operator positions. It supports the following voice services: private call, multigroup call, call alert, emergency call, talkgroup (non-priority) scan of affiliated talkgroups per site, Priority Monitor of all affiliated talkgroups per site, Audio interrupt in two configurations (never interrupt and always interrupt), and in call user alert.
The cabinet houses the hardware needed at the master site and is available in either a redundant or non-redundant configuration. The redundant configuration provides the second set of hardware and software for the zone controller application, consolidated core/gateway router and Ethernet switch. The zone controller application and network management applications are housed on the Sun™ Netra™ T2000 server, which uses the Solaris™ 10 Operating System to allow for the multiple applications needed by the zone controller and network management to be placed on a minimum amount of hardware. In addition customers have the option of purchasing the Packet Data Gateway (PDG) for IV&D systems utilizing the data functionality. The PDG uses two Hewlett Packard® (HP) DL360 servers.
The ARC 4000 is designed for simple installation and serviceability. It is just right for customers who only need a single zone ASTRO 25 system capable of supporting up to 120 channels.
