Motorola’s MotoLocator – Intelligent solutions for informed decisions and rapid response

MotoLocator is a solution that provides vehicle tracking information using GPS technology. It provides the flexibility to work with Motorola’s main private radio systems, including ASTRO and Dimetra systems. MotoLocator has the ability to work with a wide range of GPS devices, including external ASTRO compatible and built-in GPS receivers used with Dimetra’s mobile and portable radios: many networks, may devices and many GPS protocols in a single, development interface. MotoLocator also provides a complete solution that includes MotoMapping, a robust, feature rich, and fully compatible mapping application designed to meet the needs of Government and Public Safety agencies that demand mission-critical solutions.

Interfacing the Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) server with Motorola’s MotoLocator, allows emergency personnel to retrieve latitude and longitude information for their hand-held portable radios.
